Position:  Robotics Software Engineer (Graduate/Junior)

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Salary:     Up to £37,000 & Benefits including Bonus, Share Scheme & flexi-working

Our client is a world class maritime robotics technology company. Currently developing what will be an industry leading autonomous underwater vehicle, they are looking to augment their innovative engineering team by recruiting a talented next generation graduate/junior software robotics engineer.

Your Responsibilities

• This hugely exciting opportunity will see you playing a key role in the evolution and realisation of the company vision to deliver cost effective autonomy to clients in the UK & internationally
• Great opportunity to develop your software engineering knowledge/skills
• Contribute to their real-time autonomy software stack on board the autonomous vehicle, using C/C++/Python languages
• Assist in basic UI development using web based technologies
• Create testable, maintainable, secure and high-reliability code
• Understand &d interact with hardware platforms and sensors
• Opportunity for some travel

• Your Skills/Experience

• Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or Autonomous Systems with software programming experience
• Open to Graduates or industry professional up to 2 years industry experience
• An understanding of programming
• Have a “ hacker” type mindset who thrives on overcoming challenges associated with developing new concepts
• A motivated self starter, with initiative to build knowledge through additional self-learning
