Job Description

A boutique technology driven hedge fund based in Zurich, is recruiting a high calibre individual with experience working on latency focused systems. The development team is a small and agile technology group who are currently focused on a number of latency sensitive projects within the front office and risk elements of their platform.

What they can offer you:

  • Exposure to the financial industry (you don’t need financial knowledge although it would be beneficial).
  • The opportunity to grow within this expanding organisation and work on multiple exciting, greenfield projects
  • A great cash package with comprehensive benefits and a lucrative bonus pool, support throughout relocation and a flexible, research driven office environment

The Associate Java Developer Role:

  • Working closely with the CTO and experienced developers in the end-to-end design, development, and support of front-office systems
  • Working closely with internal end-users to ensure all the functionality is achieved
  • Design smart and scalable solutions with a focus on performance tuning
  • Coordinate with other members of the technology team
  • Writing efficient, clear code and articulating what has been implemented and why
  • Working in a research driven environment who are focused on the quality of your work, not the hours spent in the office

Your skills and experience will include:

  • An excellent development track-record with good knowledge of low-latency software development
  • Minimum 5 years Java programming is essential
  • Any experience with Big-Data technologies would be beneficial
  • Rounded finance knowledge beneficial but not essential
