Overview of the role

  • You will be responsible for creating & maintaining a Linux-based IT infrastructure in China with associated servers, client PCs, data storage, and EDA that will be used by their global software and IC design teams
  • Oversee existing global IT infrastructure to ensure a seamless, reliable computing environment to meet the engineering needs
  • Help develop a comprehensive solution that is secure, expandible with future hardware, which maintains near zero downtime for global users

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Definition, implementation & integration of global network
  • Install & oversight of security protocols, tools & software
  • User problem solving & processing
  • Linux system maintenance
  • Storage management
  • Management & maintenance of a server room
  • Management & maintenance of a network system
  • Management of equipment & inventory
  • Oversees the enterprise licensing for a global design environment
  • Monitor & recommend upgrades to maintain peak network & server performance

Skills and Specifications

  • Skilled in network concepts, management & maintenance
  • Ability to analyze, judge and eliminate abnormalities in network faults
  • EDA tool setup & maintenance experience 
  • Expertise in Linux-based systems
  • Comprehensive problem-solving ability of computer system hardware, software, storage, network & related equipment
  • Good information system planning and management capabilities
  • Demonstrable experience of working successfully with suppliers
  • Configure & maintain devices such as computers, network facilities & computer attached hardware

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
