Position: Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Wellington, Somerset
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Overview of the role
Our client is now looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to work as an integral part of their engineering team, to be involved in designing and developing new products and working closely with our customers to improve their manufacturing and testing capabilities by modern industrial solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Electronic Systems for measurement of voltage, current, resistance & impedance
- Micro-electronics – Interfacing with PC and peripherals for the control of systems and measurement of units under test
- Research and development of new measurement techniques and technology
- High voltage cable harness testing systems using established building blocks
- Systems and ergonomic design and layout to ensure all customer requirements are integrated into the designated enclosure dimensions
- System test and qualification
Occasionally the following duties may also be required:
- Support to Customer Service Department in resolution of installation, commissioning and in-service issues or problems, either at the factory or customer premises
- Support to Sales for preparation of technical bids & customer requirements capture
- Travel to customers’ premises, in the UK, Europe or Worldwide
Your Skills & Experience
- 5 to 10 years’ experience of electronics design/development in a relevant industry
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline (or a demonstrated experience working at this level)
- Microcontroller design and integration with analogue measurement devices
- Schematic Capture and PCB design using CAD tools
- Analogue circuit design, including interfacing with DACs and ADCs, filtering, and signal conditioning
- Ethernet – knowledge of Layer 2 protocols and low-level interfaces.
- Firmware development (Embedded ‘C’ programming for microcontrollers)
- Ability to manage projects and multi-disciplinary development teams
- Generation of test and qualification specifications, conducting the tests defined
