Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Royston, Hertfordshire
I am working with an exciting Independent technology consultancy where engineers and scientists collaborate to invent, design & develop new products and technologies in the Aerospace, IOT, Medical & Life Sciences industries to name a few. They are looking for an experienced hands on Electronics Engineer to join an agile, multidisciplinary team working primarily on cutting edge technology in the Defence and Aerospace sector primarily but with an incentive to aid multiple projects across the company.
Example application areas include commercial avionics, air traffic control systems, electronic warfare, radar, sonar, and data protection. System challenges can involve high speed electronics, machine vision, FPGA’s, low noise analogue and data capture systems, alongside fluidics and optics.
The team works with a range of clients and partner organisations, including the UK Ministry of Defence, prime system integrators and SME’s to offer innovative solutions across the product and technology life cycle.
The company is well established and has 300 people on site, the consultancy comprises of a flat structure meaning there is no strict hierarchy. This allows for consultants of all experience levels to be able to share their ideas and have a hands on approach with multiple projects and this allows you to increase your knowledge, get involved with new technologies and learn off your peers.
- Strong academic background
- Minimum of 3 years electronic design & development skills
- This is a client facing role, working in multi-disciplinary teams – you will need effective communication skills
- They are looking for talented all-rounders but you will need a solid grounding in at least some of the following: Complex/high-speed digital electronic design; FPGA firmware (i.e. VHDL/Verilog); RF and/or microwave electronics (possibly including antennas); Embedded software; Algorithm development (e.g. machine learning, target tracking, or data fusion); Analogue electronics; Power electronics.
