Job Description

This dynamic VC funded Big Data start up is looking to recruit passionate Scala developers to join their core platform development team as part of their plans for growth following their recent successful round of funding. You will be working on several challenging and ground breaking projects, delivering technical solutions within the analytics space. The analytics software platform has been deployed successfully across several diverse industry sectors, including Formula 1 teams as well premier league football clubs, financial service companies and aviation specialists.

As part of a hugely talented team you will be consistently challenged to further develop your technical skills, capability and knowledge base.

The role

You will work as a Scala developer and be responsible for building,testing and deploying strategic and tactical solutions for their existing platform

You will be working multiple exciting & innovative projects, choosing the best tool for the job at every stage and gaining exposure to cutting edge big data technologies

You will deliver thoroughly tested code which will go straight to production, which from a functional perspective will meet specific criteria

You will be responsible for your work throughout the full software development lifecycle

The ideal candidate

A computer science or STEM graduate (2:1 and above) from a reputable university

18 months + professional Scala development experience ideally with exposure to big data

A passionate technologist whether in the workplace or working on personal projects in your down time
