The Role

  • Create trading algorithms and their associated analytic tools
  • Research & share with scientific precision any aspect of the algorithm or the resulting impact on fund performance
  • Maintain feed & line handlers and extend or change them where necessary
  • Look to further automate internal processes in a constant drive for efficiency
  • Be involved with broader support of the platform – developing an understanding of all aspects of the trading systems  

 You Background:

  • Minimum of 2 years commercial experience of C++ development, including experience of working with C++ libraries such as Boost, Boost Asio;
  • Experienced in network-level programming, C++11 and template programming
  • Minimum of 2 years Python development & scripting, including scientific packages such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas; and GUI development in Python & PySide
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix, and associated scripting – knowledge of messaging protocols such as QPID is beneficial.
  • You will be analytical -  this will include presenting findings, effective decision-making & continuous investigation of the challenges faced by the business
  • Thrive as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong educational background, degree, advanced degree or PhD in a quantitative field
  • Demonstrate natural enthusiasm & drive
  • Possess excellent English written & oral communication skills
  • Communicate effectively with people of varying technical abilities & levels of seniority
