Job Description

Interim Head of People (Maternity Cover)

Company: Tech VC

Position: Interim Head of People

Location: London-Hybrid WFH/Office

Type: 9 month FTC up to £110k (pro-rata 9 months)

The Company

Our client is a dynamic high growth technology venture capital & finance company, investing from day one through to Series A, focusing primarily on applied AI, marketplaces and e-commerce.

With an outstanding track record, the company also provide “people” expertise to support & realise the growth of their portfolio, which include some of the most recognizable companies in the world!

What you will be doing

•As maternity cover you will have autonomy to drive change

•Identify/direct/Implement scheduled projects/opportunities for continuous improvement/betterment in the way in which the people work/collaborate:

•You will also have the opportunity to contribute your/fresh ideas to help drive the people/culture forward to new heights

People Development

•You will create a career progression framework for the business.

•L&D-shape & enhance performance management & the L&D framework including the Exec team

Talent Management

•TA function in process of being built therefore in the interim you will have some oversight/tactical hiring responsibilities in the first 3 months

•You will review the hiring forecast to identify short & long term hiring needs

•As a member of the Remuneration committee, you will also support the finance function, option grants and bonus awards

•A number of initiatives have been identified which with your input/help are ready to be launched

Your Team

•The People & Culture Manager will be managed by you (a temporary assistant also reports into the P&C Manager)

Your Skills/Experience

•Quite naturally you are an amazing “people” person

•You have a passion for creating an EVP which the company can be truly proud of

•Your communication are second to none, and confident in presenting new/creative ideas to the leadership team

•Experience in constructing strong business cases to validate new initiatives/policies

•Demonstrable record of managing/overcoming challenges associated with high growth start up/scale up businesses

•Pro-active in sharing expertise internally & externally through thought leadership & speaking events

•Any exposure to PLC governance and the relevant requirements would be helpful
