Position: Electronics Engineer
Location: Rickmansworth, Herts
Salary: up to £45k + benefits

We are currently working with an exciting, high growth, award winning wearable tech company.
In support of their continued growth, they are looking to recruit a talented Electronics Engineer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out feasibility studies and investigations of new projects
- Perform costings & risk analysis
- Carry out key-component selection through specification analysis & prototype testing
- Lead external consultant to perform schematic capture & board layouts
- Lead design reviews internally and with key external suppliers
- Validate prototype builds using test software and relevant test equipment
- Prepare test and production documentation
- Support the production and external EMS’s during NPI’s
- Lead and support the Test Labs on certification requirements
- Investigate & solve field issues
Skills & experience
- Good knowledge of basic Analogue & Digital Design including architecture, component selection, design for manufacture & test & design for EMC
- Experience designing with microprocessors/microcontrollers, memory devices, power supplies, wireless communications (in particular integrating GNSS, GSM, LoRa, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ISM) & antenna design
- C/C++ for real-time embedded applications
- Schematic, library and PCB layout experience, in particular using PADS, Altium
- Programming language for test automation, in particular Java, Python, Matlab and LabVIEW
- Familiarity of CE/UKCA, FCC Radio and Safety Certification processes & managing product submissions, in particular into China
- Problem analysis and problem solving of combinations of hardware and firmware
- Produce high standard technical specifications and reports
- Ability to multitask, effective communicator
- Experience of working on small size IoT/wireless products would be a distinct advantage
