Job Title: Digital IC Design Engineer

Job Purpose

In this role you will be responsible for the design and support of the digital part of the new generation capacitive touch controller integrated circuits, from concept to creation and validation. The challenges will include improving performance of IP and sub systems, as well as novel solutions to reduce power and costs. Touch controller product will support mobile, notebook, automotive, fingerprint and integration with DDI, future development into IoT. The candidate will become part of the international digital design community and operate within multi-disciplinary, multi-site product teams.

Main Duties: -

  • Design new generation of capacitive touch controller ICs
  • To push forward the performance and cost effectiveness of products
  • To provide digital expertise to all phases of the design process
  • Provide and share IC digital expertise with the wider design community
  • Ensure designs are cost effective, designed for test and manufacture
  • Use simulation and design techniques to test and develop digital IP and touch IC
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects
  • Provide timely planning data and feedback
  • Keep up to date with latest developments in technology and design methodologies
  • To provide clear and adequate documentation
  • To adhere to all prevalent company design rules, QA guidelines, and codes of practice

Engineering Skill Set

  • Digital design knowledge, working with deep sub-micron CMOS processes.
  • Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL. Knowledge of low power, multi-voltage design will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of any of the basic digital building blocks. For example, embedded processors (RISC-V preferable), bus architectures, SPI, I2C
  • Knowledge of digital design techniques and methodologies
  • Desire knowledge of DfT, DfM, Silicon Debug, Failure analysis and methodologies
  • Programming or scripting language useful

Qualifications and Experience

BEng Electronics Engineering or equivalent
