Digital Electronics Engineer

Location: Glasgow

If you’re an exceptionally talented Digital Electronics Engineer looking for a new challenge in a world-renowned global company making real changes in the space industry, then my client is someone you should be speaking to today!

My client is providing market leading space technologies and services pushing the boundaries of Small Satellite capabilities.


Key responsibilities:

  • You will be designing Electronic Systems for Space Applications
  • Architectural Design
  • Review of Avionics and digital systems
  • Improve current designs
  • Undertake design reviews as part of the team
  • Engage with stake holders
  • Generation and maintenance of technical design documentation

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Batchelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Computer Science/Relevant Studies
  • Working to deadlines as part of a team
  • Knowledge/Experience in Digital System Simulations, Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
  • Digital Electronics/Hardware Design experience
  • Debug and diagnose new and existing electronic designs
  • HDL Design for SoC/FPGA Systems
  • Experienced with Microcontrollers – Applications with real-time constrains and complex communication requirements
  • Embedded communication systems and standards – CAN/SPI/I2C and UART Low level device drivers
  • Designing Hardware/Software interfaces
  • Confident coding with C/Python
  • Version control systems (Git)

Desirable knowledge/experience:

  • Power Electronics or Mixed Signal Systems
  • DSP algorithms or dataflow implementations
  • Interfacing or using an RTOS (application and/or device drivers)
  • Test-driven development and unit testing
